erin fetherston for juicy couture

29 July 2010
american designer, erin fetherston, who was named design consultant for juicy couture in may, is launching an 11-look holiday collection for the label. the designer is known for a flirty and feminine design aesthetic that has attracted clients like zooey deschanel, anne hathaway, and kirsten dunst. fetherston indicates juicy is not moving away from their casual style and that the holiday collection is dressier given the season.

though the brand seeks to retain their core customer base, it is clear big change is underway: juicy has closed approximately 70 retail stores, discontinued the men's, yogas and maternity lines, and fetherston is launching a juicy jewelry line and set to rework the classic tracksuit. we can only assume the result will be an updated and more sophisticated and modern label.

First off, thank you so much for your kind comment the other day...

Secondly, I love Erin's designs and am so happy to learn that she will be working with Juicy! I have bought a few Juicy pieces over the years, but had been hoping that they would do a little updating -- and now they have. So excited to see more!

Thanks for sharing this news + have a fantastic weekend,

Sarah
