Any who since we're in the spirits of weddings and I love to eat lets talk about one of the most important parts of any wedding. No I'm not talking about the dress or the flowers, those are so secondary, I'm talking about the desserts! I mean really what's a wedding with no dessert?
Exactly! Since I like to eat and I'm quite in love with weddings I'm here to share with you some of things I think are great ideas for wedding desserts.
First up the traditional wedding cake:
Everyone loves a pretty wedding cake and I think it's nice to stick with traditional flavors so that everyone can enjoy the cake, but a great fun twist to a traditional cake is this wonderful Mille Crepe cake from Lady M Confections in NYC. This insanely delicious creation is layers of thin crepes with a light layer of pastry cream in between each layer of crepes, I had this delicious cake when I was in NYC in September. No words, just smiles.
One of my absolute favorite things in the cake world, CUPCAKES and cakepops!:
Cupcakes tiers are becoming very popular in the wedding world, this way the guest that care can monitor their servings and you can have several different varieties of flavors.
Now for those who don't like cake and need some pizazz, one of my favorite things that is becoming more and more popular is the dessert bar and mini desserts! I personally plan on doing this at my wedding.
A home run:
Guess I can treat you to one more wedding treat, the one thing I think ever weddings needs and I will have for sure, the nightcap snack. I know it's not technically a dessert, but hey I don't call my blog Style Foodie for nothing.
I mean who wouldn't want a mini burger,fries,and shake when they're leaving a wedding?
